Birch Creek Outfitters manages the hunting and fishing on the Galt Ranch. All hunts are paid hunts and hunters typically reserve their spot a year in advance. Hunting is not open to the public. Every hunter is assigned a guide. Hunting includes elk, deer, and antelope. The broodmare band presently numbers 11 head and with the arrival of spring, these mares foal out on the range. The horses roam free on 6 to 10 sections of range in large pastures. The mares stay out in the open pastures even in winter, when they continue grazing while receiving hay as a supplement.
