Welcome to the Jumping Horse Ranch, located eight miles outside of the fly-fishing and hunting mecca known as Ennis and just 60 miles from Bozeman, in the heart of Southwest Montana. With 8,100 acres set with the backdrop of the towering peaks of the Madison Range, our landscape sits anywhere from 5,000 to 8,400 feet in elevation, stretching from the beautiful Jack Creek, through the Short Creek area and over towards Ennis Lake. While a hearty elk and deer population summers on the ranch, they primarily spend the hot weather months in the high country to the east. With the fall’s cooler temperatures, snow and limited forage availability, the elk and deer make their way down to the ranch’s lower elevation acreage in early September. And with four hunters per week, success rates over the past five years have averaged 80 percent for bull elk.
